Born in Taiwan, Yeats was interested in writing and art. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts, she migrated to United States, commenced her post-graduate study in the 70s and started to travel throughout Europe. Lived in Mallorca, Spain for several years during 80s. While residing in the mountain village of Deia, Mallorca, she engaged with textile work and created sculptured fibre wall hangings. She held an exhibition and did commissioned works for private collections whilst also continuing her writing and published two volumes of prose and short story.

Returning with Australian husband and family to Brisbane, Australia in late 80s, Yeats made a career in the Education sector until 2006, then moved to the Sunshine Coast area and started pursuing her passion for ceramic art. She graduated from Sunshine Coast TAFE, Queensland, Australia with Diploma of Visual Art. Since then she travels extensively and has been consistently exhibiting in Galleries at the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane areas. Awarded Friends 3D Award 2014 at Noosa Regional Gallery, she had also just held her solo Ceramic Exhibition, Traces of China, at Noosa Regional Gallery in October 2014.

Her work is represented in numerous shops and galleries around Australia.
